Cinevilla is the newly built studio-pavilion which is located in a quiet pine wood setting just steps away from the famous Baltic white sand beach of Jurmala resort town.

    Riga Motion Picture Studios have been succesfully up and running for the last 55 years.

    They are conveniently situated within 15 minutes drive from the centre of town and offer the largest soundstages in Northern Europe and a full support at a very low cost.

    There are three soundstages with a total floor area of 23005 sq/ft (2140 sq/m) and a ceiling height of 39.4 ft (12m) allowing for large scale set construction.

    There is also a large scene dock and the giant blue and green screens to satisfy specific filming requirements.

    There are extensive production offices and facilities rooms as well as construction workshop, storage spaces, costume and props hire.
       

    Not many people know that Latvia has been making feature films for the whole of the ex- Soviet region for almost 55 years. Some of the biggest motion pictures of that time were made here, as well as a number of co- productions with western producers in recent years.
